WordPress security audit: vulnerabilities, plugins and access
Most hacked websites didn't fall to a clever attacker, but to one outdated plugin. I go through your website from the outside and the inside and tell you what to fix right away and what can wait.
What I check
- WordPress, plugin and theme versions against a database of known vulnerabilities
- Forgotten backups, logs and files that shouldn't be publicly visible
- Administrators, old accounts and login protection
- Core and plugin files against the originals, foreign files and pirated plugins
- HTTPS, security headers, the domain's email records and backups
How I proceed
I only audit your website and only with your written consent. The audit is passive: I browse the site as a visitor and, with your access, only read. I don't try to break into anything, I don't put load on the site and I don't change anything.
The result is a clear report: what is fine, what is a risk and how serious it is, and a fixed price for the repair. You order the repair only if you want to, and I deduct part of the audit price from it.
FAQ
How much does the audit cost?
An audit of a website costs €82, of a WooCommerce store or a website with more than 30 plugins €125. If you then order a repair of the problems found, I deduct €41 of the audit price.
How is it different from the free Website checker?
The Website checker shows in a few seconds what every visitor can see. The security audit goes deeper: it compares all plugins with known vulnerabilities, goes through the website from the inside and you get a report with proposed fixes.
Can the audit damage my website?
No. I don't try to break into anything, I don't put load on the site and I don't change anything. I only read and compare. I make changes only after you approve a specific proposal.
How often should the audit be repeated?
